Mt. 6:34 “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
“Don’t borrow trouble” has been a mantra in my own life as I tend to do the opposite. Many times, I have found myself in a pool of worry about what might be around the corner. This verse reminds me to be present in the moment and focus my energy and attention on what God has placed in my life today – not only the troubles and worries but also abundant joy and beauty.
Let us pray. Dear Lord, thank you for providing us with what we need each and every day. Help us to live our lives with the peace and confidence that only come from you and to always remember that you are walking alongside us on life’s journey. Amen.
