Lenten Devotional, Mar. 9
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” Ps. 23:4
When something impossibly crushing overturned my life, I felt that God wasn’t listening, and prayer was useless. A column from Pastor John Pavlovitz helped me rethink prayer not as a request for God to do something specific that I wanted, but as a request for help in living my life.

God, give me courage to face what I must face, strength to do what I must do, and faith to believe that you hear me.
