Psalm 121:1-2: "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth"
Having always lived around beautiful mountains and hills, this verse is a favorite. Gazing upward casually or in contemplation, in joy or sorrow, exhilaration or despair, this verse is forever with me, reminding me that God is with me. God is my strength. It reminds me that Jesus retreated to the mountains to pray, communicate with his Father, and find strength. The strength to live according to God's will here on earth.

Let us pray. Gracious and ever-loving God, thank you for always watching over me and for giving me the strength of your all-knowing presence. Help me to treat others as you treat me. Amen.
