Lenten Devotion, Mar. 30

Be pleased, O God, to deliver me. O Lord, make haste to help me. Psalm 70:1

I took this photo in the elevator at the Mount Angel Abbey Guesthouse. This verse is chanted by the monks at the beginning of every Liturgy of the Hours. We are reminded to offer this prayer throughout our day and that we can depend on God's assistance at every moment. The Lord will hear us, and we will know that God's protection is always present.
